Bern Fest

New Orleans musicians Billy Franklin, Luke Quaranta, and Eric Benny Bloom have organized Bern Fest on Saturday, February 27.  The event will celebrate, raise awareness, and encourage donations to the campaign of Bernie Sanders. The event will begin at 8p at the legendary Maple Leaf Bar with a crawfish boil and music by the Sam Price Duo.  Sets from Eric Benny Bloom & Gemini, Smoke N Bones, and Pirate's Choice will follow.

The organizers hope to bring people together in support of Bernie's campaign, and generate energy leading up to the Louisiana Democratic Primary on March 5.

The list of musicians performing includes Eric Benny Bloom (Lettuce, Pretty Lights, Sonic Bloom), Luke Quaranta (Toubab Krewe, Pirate's Choice), Billy Franklin (Smoke N Bones, OTRA), Sam Price (Honey Island Swamp Band, OTRA), Raja Kassis (Antibalas, Pirate's Choice), Terrence Houston (Funky Meters, George Porter, Toubab Krewe), Max Moran (Donald Harrison Jr., Neospectric), Sam Dickey (Benyoro, Pirate's Choice), Cliff Hines (Mike Dillon Band), Kyle Roussell, Thomas Glass, , Doug Dietrich, Kyle Sharamitaro, Kyle Cripps, Amy Trail, and more...

Admission will be a $10 minimum donation.  Attendees will be encouraged to donate more, and there will be laptops set up to make additional donations to the campaign.  All proceeds will go to cover event expenses, and the remaining funds will be donated to the campaign of Bernie Sanders.
