BrasiNola is the brainchild of musicians Ron Johnson (Bass), Danny Abel (Guitar), and Eduardo Tozzatto (Keys). It all started with an idea to create a new concept in the New Orleans music scene, a band that brings the rhythms and danceability of Brazilian 70’s samba into the mix with the funky sounds so familiar to the Crescent City.
The results have been astounding, a fresh vibe for NOLA that remains to true to the legends of the city, such as Allen Toussaint, Lee Dorsey, Willie Tee, The Meters, and so many more, while also bridging the music with the legends of Brazil: Djavan, João Bosco, Gilberto Gil, etc.
The band has a way of keeping the music intriguing to the music head, while also maintaining a danceability that any listener can relate to. Sweaty Samba/Funk dance parties are always guaranteed at a BrasiNola show.
