Drummer Donald Magee lends his high energy stage presence and diverse musicality to Smokin’ on Some Brass. A versatile New Orleans musician, Magee has performed with a variety of local and national recording artists, including Papa Mali, Marc Stone, Mainline, Tracci, Dee-1, and Jai Reed. Most recently, Magee has joined forces with the amazing Keiko Komaki and world renowned June Yamagishi, performing an eminently funky trio at the Maple Leaf and Tipitina’s, two of New Orleans’ premier live music venues. He performs annually at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, and Essence Festival. Magee is the Owner of the Magoo “The Goose” Drum Lab, offering drum lessons to both children and adults in the New Orleans Metropolitan area.
