Percy J is a brand new outfit that came together through a need “to create a new sound with a new beat, whilst also paying tribute to the old school funk and soul greats.” The band members, who are all born-and-raised New Orleanians, describes themselves as “well dressed and heavily compressed,” touching on their unique appearance as well as their anomalous take on melodic structure and New Orleans classics.
Percy J consists of Lenny Green on vocals, Devin Kerrigan on bass, Paul Provosty on keys and guitar, Jeff Jani on drums and Logan Sellers on guitar and keys.
