Soul Project

Built on the funky foundation of New Orleans, Soul Project NOLA brings its own voice to the blend of Funk, Blues, Gospel, Jazz, and Groove that the Crescent City continually produces. Bandleader, guitarist, and vocalist Jon Cristian Duque, protégé of the late, great Walter “Wolfman” Washington, has led the band for over two decades. The core rhythm section of Duque, drummer Wayne Maureau (The Roadmasters, Mia Borders) and Grammy winner Wanda Joseph on bass is a tight, funky unit, delivering the infectious grooves and precision arrangements for which the band is known. Grant Barras joins them on keys.

Special Guest: For the first set featuring the songs of Walter “Wolfman” Washington and the Roadmasters, special guest longtime Roadmaster saxophonist sits in with the band.
