The Quickening

Saturated in soul and marinated in the love of music comes The Quickening out of New Orleans, LA. With the inception of the band beginning in 2012, guitarist and song writer Blake Quick has assembled a panel of musicians that have enhanced the meaning of “feel good music”. The band has a chemistry that boils with excitement and can incorporate a party full of people into one cohesive partnership. The funky rhythm section, coupled by Al Small on bass and Eddie Christmas on drums, seem to have a marriage to the groove that Quick lays down. James Beaumont on saxophone and keys takes their jams to new levels in every direction with his eager attack and passion for their music.
